Introducing Gracy Ann

Joanne's brother and wife welcomed their fourth daughter into the world today.  The beautiful, very delicate and fine featured Gracy Ann had three quite excited old sisters ready to meet her.

Gracy, we will always remember that your on birthday (just short a few minutes) that Prince William and Kate were wed.  At least Rick and Erica had something to watch on t.v. during the night!

My Kids Table Makeover

I bought this table and 6 chairs from the local school in the fall.  They were getting rid of the kindergarten furniture and wanted less than $20 for it all.  I was pretty excited because they are still in great shape and quite a solid set.

Our New Addition To The Herd

Well we are all done calving and to make a long story short.....we ended up with one extra calf.  So Cody went to the Hutterite Colony to the north of us yesterday with my sister and they each bought a milk cow.  So we now have cow that produces enough milk that we should be able to put 3-4 calves on her to raise.  Our friends Darcy and Jessie have an extra calf right now too so they brought him over last night instead of bottle feeding it.  Bryce is quiet enjoying have a cow and two calves right out the window to look at at anytime.

Flowers and A Kitty

 This is the only time of year my husband ever gives me flowers. 

 Not sure if a crocus counts but I will take what I can get!

 Last night we went to a co-workers of Cody's to get some cats.  The mice around our yard are unreal.  But it sounds like everyone is finding that this spring.  One of their cats had kittens on Friday and we went to show them to Bryce.  He wasn't to sure what to think of these little guys.  He wouldn't touch them but from a little ways away he would sure watch them.

Easter Sunday with Carfantans

We traveled down to Grandma and Grandpa C's house for the afternoon and supper on Sunday.  We had an Easter Egg Hunt in the bales, a wagon ride with Grandpa's new wagon and of course an excellent supper. Cody's brother Chris and his family were visiting with his inlaws so it was a bit quieter than most family get togethers.

Easter/April Birthdays

Today we had Easter with Joanne's family and April Birthday Party.  In the afternoon, we all met in at the local Hospital and Extended Care Facility to have 'Hot Cross Buns' with Grandma Great as she wasn't able to make it out for supper this year.

Following that we all went out to Joanne's parents house and had a wonderful Ham supper together.  Its a busy household and it take a lot of food to feed all 26 of us that were in attendance this year (one cousin and his wife were the only ones not there).   Following supper we had a Easter Tree Shaped Birthday Cake with Eggs hanging on it to celebrate 10 family member's Birthdays from March to April.  April was a productive month apparently!

Next of course there were presents to open for the 3 nieces and 1 nephew that had a Birthday.

And this year we had two injuries prior to Easter.  Two broken legs in two different families.  They are troopers and are making out great but we postponed the Easter Egg Hunt till next year so everyone can participate!

Now off to bed and hopefully the Easter Bunny comes by before the morning!
