Done Haying

Well after a few little showers here and there we wrapped up baling on Thursday evening.  A pretty good little haul for our first year on our land.  Now we just need to get them hauled and a loader for the tractor and we are ready for the winter with our cows (which is hopefully a long ways away still).

We left to go camping as soon as we were done haying for the weekend so I will post those pictures tomorrow. 

Its Haying Season

We have starting haying at our place.  Cody and his brother Lee are sharing equipment (because we don't have any) and work to get the hay put up between both places. The weather forecast looked good yesterday when Cody started cutting but now today they are calling for rain in a few days so hopefully that stays away so we can get finished. 
And just a little heads up, if you ask Cody how the hay crop looks this year he will quickly answer with "best one I've ever had".

Bryce Cooling Off

Apparently since being at the lake, Bryce thinks that he should play with water all the time.  Anytime we turn the garden hose on now he is grabbing it and soaking himself.

The day I took these pictures the temperature was at least in the high 20s but for the most part he doesn't care what temperature it is.

Trip to the Cabin Part 4

We had some fun with the kids and burried them in the sand.  There were a lot of itchy noses during the wait until everyone was buried before we would let them get up and get washed off.  We had the whole beach to ourselves this morning which was really nice.

 And then we squirted them with water when they got out with their water guns!

And it doesn't seem like a Hadwin get-together unless we celebrate a couple Birthdays. Allyson had her big day in June and Jessica in July.  I made dirt for them from their request but since we were traveling to the lake I just put it all in a ice cream pail instead of individual cups.  Happy Birthday Girls!

Trip to the Cabin Part 2

We will feature the boat and water skiers on this post.  They got a new boat at the cabin this year so we had fun breaking it in.  Once I started going through my pics I realized I never got a picture of each kid that skied or any of the kids on the tube.
